Cabaran Blogger | Satu Hari Di Hari Raya Di Jengka Pahang | zulkbo

Posted: 20 Aug 2011 07:31 PM PDT

Anda bayangkan dengan berseluar ketat berwarna merah lagi tu, asalkan rock ala Amy Search bagai..he he.

Sos Hp danTabasco pepper disahkan mengandungi DNA Babi

Ichi's Diary: BLC in Kuala Lipis

Posted: 15 Sep 2011 05:06 AM PDT

Over the weekend, I went to Kuala Lipis to catch Mozzies, actually its at Mela (45 min from Kuala Lipis) & Padang Tunku( 20 mins from Kuala Lipis).
We stayed in a Hotel called Jelai,Kuala Lipis which is around 1
hour from Bentong. We arrived on Friday night, was surprised to see a KFC in town cos i
ts quite hulu. Rested the whole night and went wandering the next night since there is nothing to see or go, we left the hotel for breakfast, lunch and the occasional dinner.
On Saturday evening, we went to Padang Tunku to set up light traps to catch mozzies. A light trap consist of a bulb, Co2 box, net trap and fan (see below).
Then we went to Mela for BLC (Bare leg catch). Basically,we rolled up our pants and exposed our legs for the mozzies to bite, then we'll trap them using a vial which is then stuffed with cotton wool to prevent the mozzies from escaping.
During the 1st night, we stayed at the from 6 pm- 6 am and caught about 500 +/- mozzies from various genus such as Masonia, Aedes, Culex, Anopheles and Armigeres.
During the 2nd and 3th night,we stayed at the site till midnite.
Erm,going to a ulu place is normal to see some unwanted guests especially when the site is on someone's land, I think I saw a few "guardians",luckily they were just watching and didn't disturb except for one nite, when we were a bit boisterous.
And of cos, when we were there, our daily meal consisted of ikan patin, so yummy and delicious and not fatty at all. I also had a taste of jungle fowl. The bird is kinda muscular.
Also spotted a few cute lengcai mechanics and 1 or 2 of our kind there.

Rebecca Duckett highlights the risks posed by swiftlet farming in the George Town world heritage site in a letter to the Penang Chief Minister.

As a resident of George Town and as a council member of the Penang Heritage Trust, I want to bring to your attention yet again, the problem of swiftlet farming in our urban areas. The National Guidelines For Swiftlet Breeding are to be presented to Cabinet very soon and there has been no public discussion whatsoever with stakeholders, residents or NGOs. This lack of transparency has to be addressed before any Guidelines for Swiftlet breeding can be passed.

According to the June 2005 newsletter of the Malaysian Swiftlet Farmers Association, over 10% of houses - 400 houses- in George Town have been converted into swiftlet farms. The latest casual count estimates that these numbers could be closer to 20% of houses in George Town.

We do not oppose swiftlet farming in general; it is a very lucrative business which brings in approximately RM 1.5 billion per year. However, the damage urban swiftlet farming in George Town is doing to our "intangible heritage", by moving people out of buildings in order to open swiftlet farms, and to our "tangible heritage" by destroying the original features of the "exceptional range of shophouses and townhouses" that gave us our WHS listing in the first place is too great to be ignored.

Swiftlet farming encourages swiftlets to nest in a particular house, in order to harvest the nests that they build there. These nests are then sold on at an extremely lucrative price, to be used as the main ingredient in birds nest soup. We are not opposing the practice of swiftlet farming in general but we want it relocated from George Town into less populated, agricultural areas, for the following reasons:

1) Health concerns, including but not limited to:

- Cryptococcus
Dried bird droppings and bird's nests have been known to harbour the yeast spore Cryptococcus, which ideally forms colonies at 20 - 37°C (perfect for Georgetown) and which is responsible for infections in human beings. Inhalation of Cryptococcus spores cause lung infections, cryptococcal meningitis and pneumonia in healthy children and adults, and is particularly dangerous to anyone who is immuno-compromised.
King, Dr. John W. and DeWitt, Meredith L., "Cryptococcosis," http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/215354-overview, October 30th, 2009

- Avian Flu
Avian flu, or H5N1, is a rare but severe disease that can be fatal. The last person diagnosed with avian flu was in Vietnam on 16th March of this year. According to the WHO (World Health Organization), "all birds are thought to be susceptible to infection with avian influenza viruses". It is possible that the avian flu virus could be introduced to swiftlets in George Town from migratory waterfowl, which scientists believe are "now carrying the H5N1 virus in its highly pathogenic form, sometimes over long distances."

The WHO states: "Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Malaysia have controlled their outbreaks and are now considered free of the disease. Elsewhere in Asia, the virus has become endemic in several of the initially affected countries." However, there is no reason to suggest that swiftlets coming into contact with infected migratory birds from other parts of Asia will not contract H5N1. Living in such close proximity to one another, contaminated swiftlets would quickly transfer the disease between themselves, increasing the chances for human infection either via direct contact with contaminated birds or contaminated feces, the two most common sources of infection. World Health Organisation, "Avian influenza "bird flu"," http://www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/avian_influenza/en/#countries, February 2006

- Dengue Fever

Pools of water created by swiftlet farmers to ensure an ideal humidity and temperature for the birds also create perfect breeding grounds for mosquitos, including Aedes Mosquitos, which carry Dengue Fever. Outbreaks in George Town on specific streets have recently been very common.

2) The danger swiftlet farming poses to George Town's Unesco status:

- The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) seeks to encourage the identification, protection and preservation of cultural and natural heritage around the world considered to be of outstanding value to humanity. George Town's World Heritage Site status is not just a label that will increase tourism, but a treaty signed to conserve the unique "intangible heritage" of George Town.

However, homes that are converted into birdhouses suffer irreparable damage, as original windows, doors, plasterwork and features are removed, and sprinkler systems are set up to keep the house humid. This not only causes water damage, damp and rot to that house, but also to adjacent properties, thereby threatening the "unique architectural and cultural townscape without parallel anywhere in East and Southeast Asia...in particular [the] exceptional range of shophouses and townhouses" which gave George Town WHS status in the first place.

Puan Maimunah, as Acting General Manager to the George Town World Heritage Office, has stated that: "personally, the swiftlet industry poses a conflict to the World Heritage Site listing, and possibly needs to be relocated". If action is not taken against urban swiftlet farming, and George Town "loses the characteristics which determined its inscription on the World Heritage List" it may be placed on the List of World Heritage in Danger or have its status as a World Heritage Site revoked. The Site listing undoubtedly brings more tourism and therefore more money to our city. The loss of our architecture and/or listing would negatively impact on tourism and harm the economy of George Town.

3) Noise pollution:

- The sound systems used to attract swiftlets by playing amplified birdsong continuously constitutes noise pollution, which is a nuisance for residents of and visitors to George Town. However, in recent months, the main source of noise pollution is the birds themselves because numbers have soared and are now out of control. The sky above residences in George Town are full of birds emitting piercing sounds especially in the early hours of morning, late afternoon and evening.

Responsibility of the Penang state government and its departments:

The Penang State Government controls the future of George Town. The decisions made now have long term consequences. In order to address these consequences, we urgently request that the State Government of Penang keeps to and enforces, the terms of the extended moratorium on Swiftlet breeding in George Town, that states that operators cannot start any new swiftlet farms in George Town. The moratorium was set up to halt the proliferation of swiftlet houses in George Town, not as a open bill for them to proliferate freely. The breeders are openly setting up new farms all over George Town. By condoning and allowing this to happen the State Government and MPPP accepts that it is responsible for any negative impact on public health and environment.

We request that the State Government creates a heft annual tax to be paid by each individual urban swiftlet farm until they have moved from the urban areas of George Town on or before the deadline set by the State Government. This tax creates a fund which can then be used when an outbreak of Avian Flu H5N1, Crytococcus or other disease relating to birds, breaks out enabling the State Government to act on any emergency measures needed for this outbreak or environmental disaster cleanup. For the swiftlet farmers, this tax payment will mark their dedication to the maintenance of their farms health and safety measures and further reinforces their responsibility and belief that swiftlet farming in urban areas amongst a dense human population, poses no dangers to humans. Non payment of this tax allows the State Government to forcibly close down the swiftlet farm.

We also insist that in addition, the State Government as a whole, with the Heads of the Veterinary Department and Public Health, be made personally responsible for any environmental and health and safety issues that will arise from the spiralling increase in the population of swiftlets over George Town and the environmental disaster that will take place within the next few years, if swiftlet farms are not removed immediately from our urban areas. The State Government and the Heads of the Veterinary Department and Public Health will also be personally responsible to pay any compensation required in events of death from any bird related disease, outbreak of disease, as well as the loss of investment made by stakeholders who have put huge investments into the belief that George Town will benefit from its Unesco World Heritage Status and is currently being marketed as a tourist destination and world class heritage site by the Penang State Government. Loss of investment should also include, but not be limited to, being forced to move from buildings because of an individuals fear to his/her own personal health and safety.

Laws are being enforced by the State Government on developers, on residents, on landlords that are trying to revitalise George Town as a residential, cultural, heritage and tourist hub, yet swiftlet farms are being allowed to proliferate freely, beyond the realms of law. The State Government must act with a balanced hand.

I would request your immediate assistance in lobbying the Malaysian Government to sign into law, guidelines explicitly prohibiting swiftlet farming in George Town and urban areas, and to act on bringing current owners of swiftlet farms in urban areas to justice. The health and safety of the rakyat and Malaysia's precious environment should be foremost in any Government initiative. Moving swiftlet farming out of George Town and urban areas is in keeping with the State Government of Penang's initiative for a "Cleaner, Greener, Penang" and must be viewed with long term benefit to all the rakyat, all cultures, all tangible and intangible heritage in George Town and our urban areas.

Rebecca Duckett is a council member of the Penang Heritage Trust

Posted: 02 May 2011 07:37 PM PDT

Burung unta. Tinggi sungguh!!

Kepalanya asyik terjulur-julur mintak makanan. hahaha...

Rusa dari korea. Cantik! bulunya halus dan berbintik putih.
Dapat bela sekor pun best jugak.. haha!

Beruang Malaya! namanya Hitam.
Cerdik betul! tuannya panggil dia terus datang.
Suruh duduk, dia duduk terus.. .pandai!

TAMAN SANCTUARI GAJAH, LANCHANG

Ngan staf-staf sekali pun terpaksa mandi gak.. hahah..

Sovereign Gold Company (ASX: SOC) has entered into a 50% joint venture in the advanced Ibam Hill gold exploration project in Malaysia through Almusyarakah Mining Minerals SDN BHD (AAM).

A recent site visit by the company established that the Ibam Hill Block B area has potential to host a significant gold deposit.

Sovereign Gold's interests in the JV are held by MAS Gold Pty Ltd, a 100% owned subsidiary of Sovereign Gold. MAS Gold will fund development of the project up to AU$1.5 million, and also provide expertise for the project.

Importantly, the Ibam Hill Project has potential for early gold production of a modest nature from bulk sampling campaigns.

An initial exploration target of 100,000-150,000 ounces gold has been set for the near surface, open pitable resource that averages 1-2 grams gold per tonne.

The company said the Ibam Hill Project has a strong management and advisory team including AAM's founder, Abdul Hakam who has an extensive career in corporate banking and international capital markets.

Sovereign Gold has appointed Tan Sri Ibrahim Menudin and Richard Yap as advisers to the project. Menudin is former group chief executive of Malaysian Mining Corporation, and Yap is director of business development for TA Enterprise Berhad (KUL:TA).

The project is located in the Eastern Gold Belt in the Malaysian state of Pahang in the Bukit Ibam State Forest Reserve, 152 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur.

The geology of Ibam Hill is similar to the Selinsing Gold Deposit in the Central Gold Belt. The Eastern Gold Belt is an under-explored part of the world with excellent exploration potential for gold, tin, iron ore and other commodities.

Sovereign Gold's CEO, Nick Raffan and Chief Geologist, Michael Leu have recently returned from an on-site project evaluation and will oversee the project through participation on the project management committee.

The mineralised area could trend for several hundred metres along a northeast trend and, based on similar gold-bearing systems in the Central Gold Belt of Malaysia, extend to a depth of at least 200 metres – a vertical extent of 54 metres was apparent at the site.

Ee See » The Legend Resort Cherating, Sept 2011

Posted: 09 Sep 2011 02:29 AM PDT

"Kopi sooo!!". :D

Ok… selepas setel outdoor shoot di Kuala Kemaman, kami terus check in di The Legend Resort Cherating.

Kami ambil bilik Deluxe Sea View (with breakfast).

Badan dah penat… mata pun buka beberapa puluh persen je. Sebenarnya time ni Bal tengah tunggu je kat tepi tu nak serang katil dan bantal.. ahahahha.

Macam biasa ada complimentary coffee/tea making facility.

Bathroom/toilet amat best :D .

Nak merokok pun boleh… tapi kat balkoni la.

Pemandangan pagi dari balkoni. Matahari direct… kalau tak ada curtain dan sliding tak tinted mau kene panggang kauu… haha.

Petang2 di tepi pantai. Nak mandi pantai puas2? Ambik pantai seluas-luasnya. Tak mau air masin boleh mandi kat pool. Tapi kami tak pegi pool sebab xda niat nak kubang pun :D .

Kawasan parkir luas.

 • Rain shower
 • Wall mounted hairdryer
 • Mini bar
 • In-room safe box
 • 10 TV channels (including in-house movies Vision 4) and 3 radio channels
 • 32″ flat screen LCD TV
 • Coffee and tea making facilities
 • Electric kettle
 • IDD telephone
 • Air-conditioner
 • Ceiling fan
 • Luggage rack
 • Iron and ironing board
 • Umbrella
 • Yukata

Aku punye blog ni bukan blog live ye.

Hari ni punye cerita hari ni juga berupdate.

Selalunya hari ni punye cerita, 2 3 minggu lepas tu baru aku update, kahkahkah.

Kira ini pun dah kira bagus, lastweeken punye cerita, aku cerita hari ni. Oooo yeahhhhh...

Sebabnya seronok sangat la cuti2 kali nie. Seronok bukan kepalang.

Bosan okey.

Last pergi dengan mertua pun siap berjanji dalam hati..

B lepas nie, takyah datang sini dah... 2 tahun akan datang baru datang sini semula.

tup tup tak sampai 4 bulan dah ke sini balik, ekeke..

Emak abah tak ikut.

Emak takleh nak travel jejauh. Abah tak kasih, abah kata emak di kuarantinkan sampai bulan 9, lepas bulan 9 baru emak boleh berjalan. Raya tahun ni pun kitorang tak balik kg tronoh... sian emak, mesti dia rindu sangat dengan opah.

Satu rumah ada 3 bilik.

Siap ada dapur, hall semua lengkap.

Murah pun murah.

satu malam rm150 jer. kalau weken rm200. Berbaloi2 kot...

Jauh sikit la dari pantai.

Tapi takde la jauh sangat. Naik keta 5 minit udah sampai...

Bertolak dari cheras malam. Kul 9 dari rumah. Berjanji kat sekian2 jam 10.

Tapi ko tau, semua cun cun sampai jam 10 sekali andak baru nak bertolak.. tak ke ko hangin disitu. haruslah makian bertalu2 diterima dari kami... dah satu keja nak menunggu dia dalam keta. Sebbaik tunggu sejam je... jer???

Elok dia sampai terus berdesupppppp ke cherating.

Konon konvoi. Tapi bila dah sampai highway masing2 bawak keta macam pelesit.

Ciput pun sama pelesit dia. Aku rasa dia paling pelesit. Bapok laju dia bawak keta.

Keisha tido, terus aku lepak kat depan dengan dia..

Aku memang tak tido la kan... sebab takut ciput mengantuk. Mamat ni tak biasa travel malam. Dan dia pun tak suka travel malam. Masa kitorang bincang2 nak travel memalam, dia la yang paling tak setuju sekali.

Ciput: Kita gerak dulu la yang

Aku: Ish tunggu la. Pergi la sama2...

Ciput: eeeeeee tak suka la drive malam2...

Aku: Drive malam la best ok, tak panas... sejuk ajer..

Ciput: Tapi takleh tengok pemandangan...

Ye, suami aku suka drive sambil tengok pemandangan....

Dulu masa pergi cameron, semua keta ikut bontot ciput. Ciput bantai bawak keta 40km/j sambil tengok pemandangan. Hangin je akak2 aku kat belakang, hahahaha...

Dan family aku pulak, asal jalan2 je suka bertolak malam2...

Satu sejuk. Dua keta tak banyak.

Aku dari dulu dah terbiasa travel malam2. Takkan mengantuk punye lah.

Masa kat highway tu asik teringat2 je cerita karak. Lepas tu, cun cun sampai kat karak, boleh pulak angin kuat, siap daun2 berterbangan depan cermin keta ko. Kusssssss semangat, itu daun ok. Kalau benda lain???

Lepas angin kuat, hujan pun datang. Lebat gilak!!! takuittttttt..... alhamdulillah, sampai juga akhirnya...

Dan weols yang sampai homestay dulu.

2 jam setengah je drive. Sumpah pelesit laki aku bawak keta...

Yang lain sejam kemudian baru sampai. Semua pun terpinga2 sebab aku yang berjaya sampai dulu, sebab semua pun ingat ciput akan bawak sopan. Memang tak ah.. malam2 dia hantu, siang2 baru dia bawak slow...

So aktiviti kami esoknya...

Aku bawak dorang makan satar kat aziz satar.

Sedap nak mamp ok satar kat situ. Pedas, me likey2...

Jangan la ko tanya landmark dia kat mana, aku tidak tahu. Yang aku tau situ semua pun jual satar. Hehe...

Anak2 buah saya...

Semua duduk kat meja yang sama... Bising la korang disini takde sapa nak heran...

Menikmati satar...

Servis laju gila. Tak sempat nak duduk satar dah sampai dulu. Dia letak otak2 dan pulut panggang ke namanya. Pulut panggang tu pun sedap, otak2 macam biasa me tak berapa nak suka.

Makan timeeeeeee...

Bapok besar wey pinggan dia. Terkujat2 aku masa nak amik nasik...

Wey pinggan dia memang besar gini ke???

ko amik la banyak2, kongsi dengan ciput..

ye tak ye jugak kan...

Sambal belacan dia memang tip top, pedas gilak!!!!

1st time aku ke pantai awam. Selama nie lepak kat pantai impiana ajer...

Sekali pantai awam dia best daaaaaaaaaa... ombak tak kuat, air jernih. Perghhhhh terbaik lah, tapi aku tak mandi, sebab panas sangat. Menyucuk2 panas dia.

Ciput tension je bila aku taknak mandi.

Bergaduh2 la kejap. Yang ciput cakap aku tak fun, yang aku plak balas AAK sambil buat muka *ada aku kesah.... terus bergusti2 kepit2 kepala aku kat ketiak dia. Hok olo... dah bengang nak kepit2 kepala gua pulak. Nasib baik wangi. Heh...

Keisha seronok sangat angin kuat. Sampai rambut dia pun tak terurus dah aku tengok.

Hahahaha....

Menikmati pemandangan dan ditiup angin yang kuat

Anak buah dara...

Besar dah mereka. Lebih besar dari aku. *gems, haha...

Angah dah kurus dari sebelum, well orang dah ada bf la katakan...

eeeeeeeee kemain gatal budak2 sekarang ye. Maktam ada bf masa maktam lepas spm tau, masa matrik. korang belajar pun tak abis dah menggatal eh... *cubit!

Ajoi berlari atas air, ko mampu...

Ajoi pun takde gf tau. Ke dah ada???

Nampak tak ditengah2 itu. Ada pulau secoet. Kira nak merasai wave ko kena berjalan kesinun dan main air belah sinun.. yang belah sinin wave dia tak berapa nak ada...

Tapi air memang jernih. ko boleh nampak ikan berenang2..

Sinun sinin aku harap korang paham. =P

Ayat sukahati aku...

Ko nampak itu minah besar. Itu adalah kaklang. Memerhati anak dia main air...

Kalau anak2 dia yang besar tu main jauh2 sikit, kang ko dengar la suara dia menjerit2..

Jangan main jauh2!!! main belah sini ajer... eeeeeeeee tak payah la pergi belah sana tu... degil la korang nie!!! bla bla bla...

Cehhhh...

Kutuk aku cakap, aku tiger mother, emak yang tak sporting tak bagi keisha berdikari. Dia pun sama. Dia lagi over aku rasa.. anak dah besar kot!!!

haruslah aku kutuk2.. amik kesempatan.

Besoknya anak dia nak fllw aku pergi pantai pun dia tak kasik. Kata tak payah nanti bahaya...

Coi, over gilak...

Oh citer pasal anak andak.. omakaiiii si anoi tu asik nangis memanjang. Setiap sejam akan dengar suara dia menangis. Kalau menangis sekejap takpe, ni sekali menangis susah nak berhenti okey.

Kalau kita angkat dia marah. dia nak berdiri sendiri. Bahananya, 2 kali tertelan air masin... fadan muka.

Lepas dah puas mandi, lepak kejap gerai sambil minum air panas. senang kata weols lepak sana sampai jam 5. Lama gila...

pastu jalan2 kejap tengok barang.

Lepas tu terus pulang ke homestay...

Malam tu lepak dalam rumah ajer. Tengok bola singapore vs malaysia..

Ish, kalah pulak. Takpe, esok masih ada. Semoga malaysia menang. Aminnnnnnn...

Besok pagi, pergi lagi sekali pantai. Aku mandi, sebab tak panas. =P

Tenghari macam tu bersiap2 nak ke kuantan ke rumah adik abanglang... lunch kat sana...

Dan kami sebelum pulang....

Sampai kl jam 8malam macam tu...
Syukor perjalanan pergi dan pulang adalah selamat...
Lepas nie kita plan bercuti2 ke tempat lain pulak...

Love: Ceera =P
