The Sinners Almanac: Back to Janda Baik with Dad - pictures tell ...

Posted: 29 Apr 2012 07:06 PM PDT

Yesterday late morning, me and my dad made a short lunch trip to Janda Baik. Remember the place? I went there earlier this year with my pal, Moses (See below for earlier postings). It was a gentle drive on a hot day, so no hurry to get anywhere on time. The road was not too heavy with traffic because it was not a long weekend, and in less than forty minutes we were disembarking at the small town of Bukit Tinggi, Pahang, which sat at the foothill of Janda Baik.
As it turned out, it was not Kak Dah's house. But the kindly gentlemen who lived there with his wife (who coincidentally was also named Zaidah) tried to help us. Haji Aziz (for that is his name) made a few phone calls and found out that Kak Dah is not staying here, but her brother is. Alas, both her mother and father, who were my parents' good friends, have both passed away. Haji Aziz gave us directions to Kak Dah's house but we couldn't find it. Why didn't I take his number? But never mind, because we made a new friend in Janda Baik. Which is always a happy ending for a day's outing however way you look at it.

Thank you for keeping me company, sunshine.

Saujana Janda Baik » Review from Dina (ForeFront Studio)

Posted: 26 Apr 2012 09:43 PM PDT

Comfort: From all the feedback that i have gotten from my team-members. Everyone truly enjoyed their stay at the Saujana Janda Baik.

Cleanliness: Cleanliness was awesome. It kinda shocked us all at how clean everything was.The standard was why in the cleanliness.

Facilities: We did not use the barbecue pit. However, im glad all the fan and there were enough electrical plugs around for us to use for ALL our electrical purposes (toaster/grill/steamboat/ricecooker/etc).

Effectiveness: Um, we were lucky enough to have met En.Ahmad Senior, your mum, sister and wife. The welcome was awesome. The only problem we had during the stay was a small um.. misunderstanding/miscommunication. We had inform En.Ramaly, when he was cleaning the villa when we arrive that we would like to have 2 tents and was informed they will put it up soon. As evening was coming to an end, and the tents were not up, we called at 6.15-6.45pm. I was met with a rather annoyed reply and the line was abruptly disconnect. About 15-20mins later, he came and put up the tent. Other than that it was ok!

Friendliness: Your and your family were awesome, SO was Mr.Ramaly and wife.

Note from Saujana Janda Baik Management: Thank you for you comments! We will get in touch with En Ramaly about it – he's usually very cheery! And sorry for the late tent setup.

Catering: Although it was last minute, i was truly happy that En.Izzat agreed to cook for our batch of 20 pax. However, for RM15/pax the food was just ok. What we got for the meal was Fried rice , Fried Mee, Ayam masak merah, Ikan masak kicap, sayur campur, orange cut fruit, teh tarik and orange cordial. The orange wasnt as fresh and the cordial was flavourless. =). For an order for 20 pax, what came was enough for about 12-15 pax..=). But we were pretty appreciative that En.izzat took our order although it was last minute.

Note from Saujana Janda Baik Management: We have forwarded your feedback to En Izzat and he explained that because the order was last minute (on the same day), he only had limited supplies to work with (since he had other catering orders that day, too) so he did the best he could. Nonetheless, apologies about the fruits and cordial!

Team-building/Activities: It was something that everyone was thinking would be just OK. However, it took everyone by surprise how much fun it was. It was over expectation, and that is thanks to you. At the same time, it gave me good feeling to know all that was planned turned out awesome.

With that I have proud of the weekend. As with the good job of the place, organizer , the planning and hardwork from my team. It was a great success!!

With that we would like to thank you.

And May Allah bless you and your family always .

Btw, Everyone raved about the cookie [Siraj's CHoC] =)

Scouting Janda Baik « Joy Forevermore

Posted: 10 Apr 2012 12:29 AM PDT

Beside Easter celebrations and being extremely busy with work last weekend, I managed to take a break to visit Janda Baik again. I was there many years ago for a sports club retreat with my colleagues and friends. This time I was there again to plan the arrangements needed for the wedding.

Tanarimba is a beautiful place and a lot of couples have chosen that place for their wedding, it's very serene and of course it is an award winning building because of the way it was constructed from recycled woods found within the area. Anyway, Emmanuel is excited that he managed to book the venue for his wedding as well as the bungalow, Enderong House on top the hill so we can all use that after the wedding. It's the same place which I used to stayed before.

We continue to discussed the wedding plans and assign tasks for everyone prior to the big day! Of course both the parents are excited as well. There are so many things to think about and plan but I guess I pretty much covered everything in the checklist. As long as he's able to follow it, then I guess the co-ordination will a breeze.

CIKMA : Teringin nak tawan Gunung Kinabalu..haha...bak kata my bro...udah-udah le..kalo setakat pergi naik bukit kat Janda Baik sampai seminggu tak larat...inikan pulak nak naik Gunung Kinabalu..mau pengsan derr...huhu....

Eh, aku pergi saufiville ni hari ahad lepas aku bermalam di kalumpang tu... Tapi berpecah..

Last last ter muntah jugak. Hahaaa first time ok muntah dalam perjalanan. Perut kosong plus sakit sakit badan angkara tiubing di kalumpang =.="

Sampai sana, hari Ahad dalam pukul lapan malam.

Suasana pada malam hari. Biasa.. Tapi sejuk. Sampai sampai je, yang lelaki terjun kolam.. Bapak besar kolam dia :O

Mandi, makan, makan, makan, makan, makan, tangkap gambar..karaoke, borak borak.. Tido

Isnin pagi kena balik jugak sebab kerja. Bertolak pukul 7 pagi . Pergh

Aku bangun, gosok gigi, basuh muka, tak mandi ok! Sejuk wey air dia.. (Padahal malas sebab dah plan nak sambung tido dalam kereta)

Masa aku keluar pergi kat beranda, depan kolam renang tu.. Nampak bukit, nampak embun, nampak kabus menutupi bukit, nampak matahari nak naik. (Macam lukisan aku masa kecik kecik pulak. Ada bukit, ada matahari tengah tengah. Ada burung bla bla bla hikhik)

Ya Allahhhhh. Cantiknyaaa pemandangan pagiiiii..cantik sangat.. Aku ada tangkap gambar.. Nanti aku pacak kat blog ni.. (Terbayang bayang suasana masa tu)

Tapi, aku tak galakkan sesiapa yang nak honeymoon pergi saufiville ni.. Rumah dia besar. Sangat besar.. Tak silap aku ada 5 bilik.. Bilik air ada 3.. Dapur tadak. Makanan kena order.. Satu malam tak silap aku rm2 ribu.. Nak makan apa, order je.. Macam restoran tu.. Owner dia sendiri masak untuk menjaga kualiti katekooo.. Mampu?? (Harga makanan lain)..

Kalau pergi honeymoon kat sana. Pakatnyaaaa

" You pandang i.. i pandang you"

Takpun, jalan jalan tengok kandang lembu

Takkan nak beradu di bilik saja..

Ibnu Hasyim: Mengapa Parti Komunis China Ke Lurah Bilut?

Posted: 20 May 2012 02:30 AM PDT

KL, 20 Mei: Mengapa Parti Komunis China datang ke Lurah Bilut Pahang? PAS mengesyaki ada agenda tersembunyi di sebalik tindakan kerajaan membenarkan kunjungan delegasi Parti Komunis China (PKC) ke Felda Lurah Bilut, Pahang, 12 Mei lalu.

Pengerusi Persatuan Anak Peneroka Felda Kebangsaan (Anak) Mazlan Aliman berkata, sedangkan sebelum ini isu komunis sangat sensitif di kalangan masyarakat. Malah, Timbalan Presiden PAS, Mohamad Sabu dikecam hebat kerana dikatakan membela komunis.

(IH)

Walaupun kat Terengganu , ada muzium. Kat sini ada muzium negara, sepanjang hidup me, me tak pernah jejak kaki ke Muzium :p Lawatan anjuran sekolah pun me tak pernah join. Lupa lak nak snap gambar ikan tu.

So lepas kenduri ajer, my Long ajak ke Muzium Felda Lurah Bilut. Walaupun hari Ahad ianya tetap dibuka. Guard kat situ cakap, kalau kenduri memang diorang buka, sebab pengantin nak bergambar dalam tu. So dapatlah me masuk dalam tu.

Awas banyak gambar :p

Harus bergambar depan pintu masuk

Sebelum masuk dalam, posing dulu :p Eh, ni gambar dah nak balik. My hubby tidak kelihatan ;p

Bapa Pembangunan kita yang mencetuskan idea penubuhan Felda, ayah PM kita.

Lukisan pewter ni bernilai RM25K you all !!

PM kita muda-muda dulu :)

Siapa tak pernah tengok pisau toreh, ni lah dia. Saiz gergasi punya !

Nuha mula-mula takut, sebab banyak patung

Surat tawaran masuk Felda tahun 1959. Ayat klasik gila.

Kronologi Pembukaan Felda Lurah Bilut.

Penoreh getah tengah posing tepi pokok getah :)

Bayi pertama dilahirkan di Lurah Bilut.Dulu orang panggil Lurah Bilut sebagai Bilut Velly. Masa tu orang inggeris dia punya pengurus ladang , suh namakan bayi tu "NORVELLY" . Ada iras nama me :p

Putera Lurah Bilut . Lupa lak kisah dia :p Tapi dia terkorban .

Klasik btol kan.

Ni adalah beduk. Sebelum azan, ketuk ni dulu.Memang susah dah nak dengar bunyi beduk .Kat kampung masih ada lagi kot.

Korang pernah ker pergi muzium ?

p/s:
