Berbuka Puasa Di Janda Baik « Qistina Safiah

Posted: 13 Aug 2012 06:02 AM PDT

Beg tangan rayalah katakan :P

Kasihan Atuk, puas memujuk saya untuk bergambar bersama.

Maaf ya Atuk, semenjak saya sudah besar ini, saya malu apabila disuruh mahupun diajak bergambar bersama :)

Kelak apabila malu-malu saya berkurangan, kita bergambar sama ya.

Janda Baik: A back to nature retreat from Kuala Lumpur | The ...

It may seem strange to visitors from cooler climes, particularly those escaping from the bleakest months of the European or North American winter, but Malaysians spend much of their time trying to avoid the heat. Increasingly, people work, play and sleep in air-con. This is especially true of urban areas like Kuala Lumpur, where temperatures are hot and humid all year round.

Cold snap unlikely.

Cold snap unlikely.

No wonder then that when many KL residents, both local and foreign, go on holiday, they seek out cooler climes. In colonial times, this resulted in hill stations such as Fraser's Hill and Cameron Highlands. More recently, huge entertainment and accommodation complexes have been built in the mountains, like Resorts World Genting and Berjaya Hills Resort.

Still a rural Malay community at heart.

Still a rural Malay community at heart.

Janda Baik is somewhat of an oddity in that it did not start its life on the planning board. A small group of villages existed in this area long before the first tourists arrived. Despite rapid development over the past decade, it has managed to retain much of its rural, Malay feel.

No shortage of lovely streams.

No shortage of lovely streams.

Quite apart from the coolish climate (about 23-27 degrees Celsius during the day), Janda Baik has a lot to recommend it as an escape from the city. It is undeniably attractive, with crystal clear streams and verdant hills.

Not a bad spot to chillax.

Not a bad spot to chillax.

And it's a great spot too for outdoor pursuits, principally walking, mountain biking and bird-watching. Last but not least, it's just 45 kilometres from central KL.

Not exactly frenzied, but still too much development for some.

Not exactly frenzied, but still too much development for some.

Needless to say, all these new tourism businesses popping up, most of them owned by outsiders, is not welcomed by all. Many locals feel the pace of development should be slowed down, to limit environmental damage, and that it should more directly benefit the people of Janda Baik.

A qualified thumbs up to tourism.

A qualified thumbs up to tourism.

The vast majority of visitors are Malaysians, whether on weekend family breaks, activity holidays with friends, or work "team-building" jaunts. This means accommodation -- often fully booked at weekends -- eating and available activities are primarily targeted at domestic tourists.

Budget international travellers are not the target market.

Budget international travellers are not the target market.

This is well off the beaten track for independent travellers. A final point worth bearing in mind is that it's all so lush for a reason: it rains a lot!

Rain not an unlikely event.

Rain is not an unlikely event.

Not surprisingly, given the Malaysian love affair with motor vehicles, getting to Janda Baik by public transport is not possible. The closest you can go by bus is Bentong, from where you will have to get a taxi. By far the best option is to hire a car. For detailed instructions of how to drive there, as a well as plenty of other useful info, see the Friends of Janda Baik website.

sebenarnya, aku keliur pulak masa tulis tatap tengok gambar ni.sendiri tulis sendiri keliur kan

masa on the way balik , berpecah semua. ada yang nak balik KL, ada yang nak balik manjung bagai. aku sebagai penumpang, dan laki ku drive, tahu tidor saja aku ni haha

tiba tiba (jeng jeng)

ketua konvoi berenti tepi jalan. pastu arah arah kami berenti sama. semua keluar. aku cuma bukak tingkap saja. pemalas kan nak pakai selipar lepas tu keluar . baik pasang telinga ja. princess kan. puih.

" KITA PERGI SAUFIVILLE JOM"

aku macam. apa jadah tu. sebelum ni aku pernah dengar. aku pun angguk saja lah lepas tengok krol pun macam . "OKAYYYY *angguk angguk sambil tunjuk thumbs up"

masa naik saufiville. kona kona jalannya kan. naik genting turun balik jalannya. aku termuntah tertonggeng dalam kereta. lapar kot makan pau saja ingat cukup ka perut naga macam aku ni. masuk angin terus.

bila dah sampai, aku rasa wahhhh cantiknya.

banglo besar tersergam indah atas bukit. sejuk. penuh dengan pokok, bunga bunga, perjalanan atas nak naik ke banglo ni, rasa macam kampung betul :)

kami smpai malam. takdalah malam sangat pun . boleh la nampak jalan lagi kalau tak bukak lampu hihi. senja lah kan. keliwon :O

sesampai je semua berebut bilik. HAHAHA. sebab bilik ada lima atau enam je entah aku lupa. cuba lah cek kat website dia tu. hahah

lepas berebut bilik. mandi mandi kolam. lapar. makan.

makanan yang termasuk dalam pakej sekali atau tak. aku tak sure sebab management bukan aku. yang aku tahu makan saja. haha. nagi goreng, ciken cop black paper, hotdog , salad kentang goreng eh bagai bagai lah tak larat nak tulis. aku kelaparan pulak ni :(

kat dalam banglo yang besar tu ada macam macam. cuba masuk blog saufiville tu. dia ada masukkan gambar setiap inci ruang kat banglo tu. tak mampu pulak aku nak tangkap gambar dan tepek kat sini setiap inci. :( tapi satu je. MABELES. cantik sangat

siap ada jual jual lagi ok. scarf, tudung, pin, eh macam macam. aku sebat satu scarf ala ala ada bunga sekuntum di rambut. akak aku dah rembat rasanya scarf tu.

luar banglo ada bunga bunga cantik dan wangi. keluar banglo rasa macam menusuk nusuk hidung bau wangi bunga bunga tu :D segarrr je rasa dengan sejuknya lagi kan

ada jugak bilik karaoke . diasingkan dari banglo. tak lah jauh sangat. aku rasa aku tahu kenapa dia asingkan. supaya kalau meroyan memalam nak karaoke test suara kilauan emas kan, tak menggangu orang yang nak tido . bagus. aku kalau ada rumah besar nak jugak buat macam ni. cumanya belum mampu lagi hihi. Impian aku nih cewah

banglo ni dah selalu ada buat penggambaran berlakon. gambar ja ada. artis tadak. kihkih

masa berlalu. lepak punya lepak. aku tidor. bangun pukul 7 pagi sebab pukul 9 kena masuk opis. sempat atau tidak itu belakang cerita janji selamat sampai dan selamat masuk opis walaupun masuk opis pukul 12 tengah hari HAHAHAHA

suasana pagi paling aku suka. kalau nak tengok matahari naik. sila bangun awal. :D
